Education:
Born
in Mostar in 1967. Elementary School and Classical Gymnasium
completed in Mostar. Student of Veterinary Faculty University of
Sarajevo to war (1992). Studies of veterinary medicine completed with
success in 1997 at the Veterinary Faculty University of Selcuk, Konya,
Turkey. Granted a degree doctor of veterinary medicine, master of
science.
In
2008 completed one year program of the Academy for Political Excellence
(Schools of Political Studies, Center for Interdisciplinary
Postgraduate Studies, UNSA), supported by the Council of Europe and the
Open Society Fund. Courses: Democratic political culture-key concepts;
European integrations; Summer University for Democracy; Transition and
integration of B&H into EU-the economic aspects. Granted a diploma.
In
2011 completed a postgraduate studies program in the scientific field
of food and beverages quality control and granted a scientific degree
of master of agricultural sciences from the Food and Agriculture
Faculty of the University of Sarajevo. Thesis in the field of food
legislation: Hygiene package of EU regulations and its consequences on
legislation and food industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Employed
as civil servant senior expert for register at Food Safety Agency of
Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2007, Sector for Official Control,
Traceability, Risk Management and Risk Communication. In 2009 officialy
nominated a contact point of the third country authority (Food Safety
Agency of B&H) for the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF)
of the EC. Traind more then 200 inspectors on RASFF basics (the system
itself, functioning, the mision and vision of the system etc) within
program of workshops organised at national level in 2010 by Food Safety
Agency of B&H. Engaged for several years (from 2007) in drafting
legal acts (secondary legislation) concerning food safety and quality
transposed from the Acquis Communautaire within pre-acesion process of
the harmonization of national legislation with that of the EU. Also
engaged in drafting of guidence documents and booklets.
In
2003 established and directed a first private veterinary station at
Hercegovackoneretvanski Canton, FBH, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2007
took over a position at civil service, state level administration.
From
2000 to 2001 volunteer veterinarian at Public Veterinary Station-
Mostar -West.
From
1999 to 2000 employed as veterinarian at Veterinary Service of the
Agricultural Association of Bijelo Polje, Mostar, through IOM support
programe for the experts returnees from abroad.
From
1997 to 1998 made clinical practice at Clinic for Internal Diseases of
Veterinary Faculty, University of Selcuk, Konya, Turkey.
